All our private tours are made to keep you off “the beaten tracks”. This means that we will take you to all the places that a traveller obviously should not miss, but at the same time away from the usual touristic hustle, sharing with you all the places, people and culture we know and love.
We do not want you to feel like a tourist on our tours, rather a fellow traveller or a friend that came to visit. We will give you time to “soak everything in”. There is no timetable to be met, or places that must be seen.
Our goal is based on a personalized and qualified service, on client satisfaction, honesty and professionalism. Therefore, we do not make tours for large groups that contribute to the mass-tourism and destruction of heritage and nature. Our private tours are designed for small groups. Tours go from 2 to 12 travellers. Only this way can we provide you with a respectable service that takes care of you.
You will always be guided by someone that has a passion and knowledge about nature, local history, customs and gastronomy and who enjoys meeting new, different and open minded people seeking new experiences. We will provide you with accurate information in order to make your time with us pleasant and satisfying.
Just choose a trip or tour and let us worry about TakingUThere!
Founder of TakingUThere, New Travel Experiences. Born in Portugal, but of German nationality, lived in different countries during his youth (England, Spain and Germany), although always having Portugal in his heart. Being an off-road driver for over 25 years, he knows Portugal and Morocco inside out, literally “off the beaten track”, making friends along the way and getting to know their culture. All this led him to organize journeys for friends and family, taking them to remote places in different countries that are not normally seen, but are of extreme beauty.
All this together with a passion for developing quality tours and journeys with focus on flexibility and professionalism led to the foundation of TakingUThere, a travel experience company that can take people to parts of Portugal and Morocco left unseen.

It was in the 2017 season that he took advantage of the precious knowledge of the TakingUThere team to prepare; having now, the skills needed to present to our travelers everything that Portugal (and Morocco) has to offer.
It is with great affection that he shares all his knowledge with the TakingUThere travelers, aiming at your total satisfaction in each of our tours.
